General Staff
Information:
Bearskin Lodge employs about 8 year round staff members and about 8
seasonal staff members. Staff work about 35 to 45 hours per week.
Long-term employment at Bearskin is possible for the right person. All
our staff are required to be flexible and have cross training in other
areas than their main job. We all help out when and where it's needed.
Staff housing offers full kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Facilities and equipment are available free to staff and includes
canoes, fishing boats, staff dock, bikes, cross country skies,
snowshoes, sauna, etc. Computer, printer, and internet are available
for a small monthly charge. |
| Housekeeping -
We are extremely proud of our housekeeping team. The
superior condition and cleanliness of Bearskin cabins and lodges is the
key to our success. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who
can work quickly, alone or in teams, and take pride in a job well done.
Front Desk- Front
desk staff are our main contact with the public. We are
looking for friendly and organized people to maintain our excellent
guest service. Duties include taking reservations, checking in and out
guests, answering questions, and running the cash register. A
well-groomed appearance is necessary.
Maintenance - Duties
include upkeep of the buildings, equipment and grounds. Work depends on
the season, but generally in the summer involves getting boats and
canoes, grass cutting, painting, trail work, garbage removal, and
miscellaneous projects. Winter brings snow removal, cabin maintenance,
skating rink upkeep, cross-country trail grooming, providing firewood,
and more miscellaneous projects. Individuals applying for these
positions need to be able to work with minimal supervision, be able to
do some heavy lifting, operate equipment like lawn mowers, weed whips,
snow blowers, and like to occasionally get really dirty.
Naturalist -
This positions require some expertise in the respective area. Contact
