Wednesday Dining

Bearskin Lodge is not offering full service dining during the spring and summer, 2014. There simply wasn’t the demand on warm summer days for long, lingering meals in the Lodge.  Fresh-baked pies, baked goods, cookies, ice cream cones, and ice cream sandwiches, as well as beer, wine, and sodas will be available all summer.

Our front desk staff members will be happy to suggest excellent dining options in the area. Dining out is an excellent way to experience more of Grand Marais, the North Shore, and the Gunflint Trail.     We plan to return to a Wednesday/Saturday dining schedule at Bearskin again this fall.

About our restaurant

Bearskin has long history of fine dining in the Main Lodge.

We thank our guests and visitors who make it possible for us to continue offering our cuisine.  Restaurant service is very costly to run, and is a very different business than running a lodge.  Most of the resorts in this area have lovely classic dining rooms that sit empty because guests no longer support their restaurants.  We keep dining alive at Bearskin because our guests say they want more dining options on the Gunflint Trail.  We appreciate your support.

Fall dining will begin again in September.  If you are interested in winter fine dining on Saturday nights with Chef Scott Bergstrom, click here.
