Sometimes, the best way to reconnect is to disconnect

How is it that when you set out to leave the world behind, the world is exactly what you discover? Lakes, trees, trails, a canoe in the water, and an outfitter to set you up. All right here by your Bearskin Lodge cabin on Minnesota’s famed Gunflint Trail. Nestled in the pristine woods of northeastern Minnesota between Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters Canoe area (BWCA wilderness). As far as you can get from the rest of the world.

Welcome spring to the North Woods

May Special:  Early spring is a great time to be a Bearskin Lodge.  As the ice goes out and the forest springs to life, May guests experience hiking and exploring on the Gunflint Trail in a way that's very different from any other season. Bird watching and wildlife viewing are at their best before the trees are totally leafed out.

Make a new reservation for two nights and stay a third night for free.  Available May 1 - May 16, including during the Minnesota fishing opener. Stay longer, pay less, love being here even more.  Special rate not available in all cabins on all dates, so ask for specifics when you call to make your reservation.

Summer Employment:  Two summer jobs at Bearskin have opened up.  Check our Summer Jobs page if you know somebody who would love working in the BWCA/Superior National Forest for a season.
